Pour rapel TGE ltd est l'entreprise qui fabrique le DAP en corée.

j'ai contacté (j'ai aussi contcter plus de 20 autres personnes sur de nombreux continents mais à chaque fois j'avais pour seule reponse (quand j'en avais une !!!) : nan pas de nouveau firmware, ou nouveau firmware en cours et puis c'est tout !!!) les dirigeants pour faire avancé le shmilblick et voilà où nous en sommes :

Hello,

The firmware you showed me is the 3.417 and i have the 3.421…

So it’s not an upgrade firmware but a downgrade firmware L

The 3.421 is the lastest firmware available ?

But it’s still very full of bug !

Also, i know lots of things about the MP-304 so i’m making (finished withing 2 days) a website about it with a friend to help persons who have bugs. And i know that in France there are 2 sorts of MP-304 that are sold...

The old one (mine) : it needs drivers to work properly under Windows XP, the oldest firmware version is the 3.402, but it can be upgraded to 3.413 and 3.421... at the 3.421 it doesn’t yet have the factice equalizer after 5 seconds of playing ;) it doesn’t work with the utilities you link me... but old ones utilities (stmp3update.exe and stmp3format.exe)

The lastest one : it doesn’t needs anymore driver, it has the factice equalizer after 5 seconds of playing, the firmware version is the 3.417 and it needs the utilies you link me...

So there aren’t any newer firmware for the first or the second version of the player ?

Because actually the 2 versions of the players still have very bad bugs... (they can’t accept more than 64 WMA... they freeze... bugs with ABR or VBR MP3s...etc...)
